Human Resource Coordinator

Heritage Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a full-time, experienced Human Resources professional to join our team! This position is available for immediate hire.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications Include:
Ability to pass drug test and background check.
Minimum 2 years experience in benefits administration and HR.
Effective communication skills. Demonstrates a high level of competency in both written and spoken word.
Works well in group settings. Many projects require teamwork between departments.
Ability to set and meet deadlines.
Computer Literacy. Must be adaptable and willing to learn new software and processes.
Capacity for discretion. Proven track record that indicates ability to keep financial and personal information secure.
This position is full time (40) hours per week, M-F 8am-4:30pm, also requires:
Ability to modify schedule to accommodate team member needs.
Ability to work overtime when needed to accomplish a time sensitive project.
Responsibilities Include:
Benefits Administration
Counsel new and existing employees seeking information and guidance concerning any benefits, eligibility, policies, procedures and available options.
Work with employees to investigate, mediate, and resolve employee questions or disputes with carriers.
Administer short and long term disability leave, including determination and maintenance of eligibility, documentation and records set-up, status tracking, and maintenance of relationship with employees on leave, management of return-to-work reminders, and interface with payroll and with carriers.
Administration of company 401k benefit, contributions and annual audit.
Human Resources
Assist with staffing needs which will include prospective applicant's administration; coordinating interviews; participating in job fairs, on-boarding, and conducting background checks.
Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as staffing, recruitment, benefits, safety, training, and pre-employment screening.
Analyze and evaluate the utilization, trends experience of all absence and leave benefit programs, identify opportunities to improve program impact to the Safety Committee and recommend changes.
Maintain personnel files in compliance with company standards and applicable state and federal guidelines.
Assist with resolving employees' HR- related questions and issues.
Administration
Ensure all vehicles have GPS units, add vehicles to network fleet system and drivers alert.
Renew and apply for company licenses. This includes keeping all up-to-date records for technician licensing, notify employees and management of expiring licensing and keep accurate files of all active licenses.
Maintain employee job related credit cards and loans.
Ensure proper record keeping, receipts and reconciliation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
