Our Environmental Services group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions to site management, remediation, and mitigation. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in botany, ecology, fisheries biology, forestry, GIS, habitat and ecosystem restoration, environmental monitoring and risk assessment, hydrogeology, hydrology, information management, permitting and compliance, soil science, state and federal permitting, storm water permitting and planning, wetland science and wildlife biology.
Your Duties:
The Power T&D; Permitting Lead will be responsible for managing multiple electric transmission and distribution projects, serving as a national expert in permitting T&D; projects, mentoring staff and developing new business. The chosen candidate must be self directed and capable of growing the Environmental Management Practice in New England as well as other regions of the US. In addition to performing regular client interaction and regular business development activities, daily work will also include defining scopes of work and cost estimates for a clients; delegating work tasks and schedules to other project team members; monitoring project status, work results, monitoring work quality; and managing client relations. In the role of national expert in permitting transmission projects, this individual will provide leadership to staff, while developing and implementing a program to drive quality of permitting services for major transmision projects throughout the United States. This position will report on project and business development progress and status to the Power Sector leadership.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
We require a Bachelor's degree in natural sciences, business, or marketing; 10 years project management experience that includes interstate energy projects. Completing natural resource permitting and regulatory/resource agency interaction. A strong work ethic, proven leadership skills, and willingness to work in a team-based work environment.
We desire a Master's degree, in natural sciences, business, or law; 15-20 years project management, project cost estimating, client relations, and business development on major transmission line projects of 138kV-500kV. Strong, established relationships with Utility clients in multiple energy markets. Past history of providing expert testimony during state proceedings. Experience with FERC, hydroelectric, thermal generation, wind, solar and gas pipeline projects also desirable.
Significant travel, including extended overnight travel, is expected for this position. Exemplary written and verbal communication and business development skills are a must.
