Your Duties:
The successful candidate position will be responsible for the design and engineering of aviation and other specialized fuel systems, including hydrant systems. The successful candidate will work primarily with the Flammable Liquids and Fuel System Engineering Group in the Auburn, NH or Scarborough, ME office, although work with other groups, including environmental, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering may be included from time to time. Duties will include both in the office work as well as field work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Office work to include extensive written communication, client and external communication, engineering design and calculations, analysis, code/regulatory review and reporting, drawing printing and assembly, report writing, printing and assembly, review, and quality assurance. Out of office work to include construction observation, site inspection, and compliance inspection. Local, regional, and national travel/day trips may be included.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
BS or MS mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology required, except as noted below. Other engineering disciplines, or equivalent technical degrees will be considered for candidates with the appropriate experience. The successful candidate will have 8-20 years work experience as a consulting mechanical engineer, fuel systems engineer, or related field. Significant experience (5
years and/or 5
projects) with the design of aviation hydrant fueling systems required. Experience and competence with MS Word, and MS Excel required; experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred. Strong writing skills essential. PE, or EIT with ability to sit for PE within 1 year preferred. Signifcant project management or design experience with aviation fuel hydrant systems acceptable in lieu of PE.
